Carmen pursued her creative drive and interest in design at East Carolina University and graduated in 1988 with a B.A. in Interior Design.  After a few years of working in building product sales at Georgia Pacific Corporation, she began her design career in 1992 at a small boutique store in Raleigh. She gained valuable experience working with clients in the Raleigh area and managing the store and design staff.  After 10 years with the company, she began Carmen Honeycutt Interior Design.

Over 20 years later, she has developed a diverse portfolio including both residential and commercial design projects.
